What is money?

Money is a generic word to describe two things:

Currency & Capital

Currency is the dollar.

It is a medium of exchange. It is designated legal tender. You can swap it without creating a tax event. It is liquid and fungible.

Capital is a store of value.

Smart, wealthy people do not store their value in the dollar. They store their money in assets and capital. Things like land, property, businesses, investments, and gold. These things are capital, not currency.

Bitcoin is digital capital.
